Shelby Oredson is the artist behind Broken Paddle Studio, a small online art shop specializing in watercolor prints, paper goods and gifts, and custom paintings. Formerly located in the mountain town of Sitka, Alaska, Shelby found artistic inspiration in the towering pines and snow-capped peaks that spread across her Alaskan backyard. A Minnesota-native and military spouse, she now lives in West Lafayette, Indiana with her husband and four young kids who fill her days with zest and mess.

I’m a self-taught watercolor artist and mom of four. Most of my work celebrates some of my most favorite things: hiking, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors. I hope you find something that speaks to your adventurous soul, something that inspires you to escape into the wild and breathe that fresh mountain (or lakeside) air.

Along with outdoorsy art prints and stationery goods, I specialize in custom pet portraits and landscape commissions.
